eFusjon Company Closed- What Happen To Your Business?

by Thomas Lierzer on September 4, 2010

The company eFusjon send out a letter to their members saying that as of September 1st 2010 the comapny will shut down the business. Over a very short time Efusjon has seen extreme movements as well as hard times and reality caught up with them and now eFusjon is no more.

Over the last 18 month or so I personally talked to a lot of eFusjon Reps, back in the days everyone was pumped up and so ready to represent the company.

Facebook was littered with eFusjon news and promos, where it almost got to a point of being very much like spam.

So back to when I used to have conversations with a bunch of Reps, the hype the company released, blindsided the people and brain washed their own judgment. The point of the one on one conversations was to make sure eFusjon reps were building a strong business the right way, without pitching and spamming but rather to  get the right training in marketing.

Many Reps listen and checked out what I had to say, but in the end they knew better and just kept blowing forward with the pitching and spamming. And now in 2010 the doors are shut and all the people who I was not able to show the right way have no income whatsoever.

I only can imagine how much it must suck to lose everything they build and worked so hard for in a matter of minutes.

My heart goes out to those who lost their income because of eFusjon.

I am also very upset at myself for not trying harder to inform eFusjon reps about the importance of marketing, personal branding, having a system in place, in case stuff like that happens they would not be losing everything they worked for.

Now the big teams in eFusjon will be moving to another company without a problem but the little teams will have some catching up to do.

I hope if you are an Ex-eFusjon Rep that you somehow have learned your lesson and maybe just maybe you are now ready to grab the bull by the horns and learn everything there is about the only right thing to do when it comes to running a business online.

Guys, I am truly sorry if for some reason this effected you directly.

Just because a Company could not survive doesn’t mean the industry is bad. Businesses close all the time, not just in this industry and you as a person should not give up and walk away but rather take this experience and move forward to better things and opportunities.

Hello Thomas,

I to remember all the noise being made when this company was coming out. Really though, nowadays, all you need to get an MLM company going for the most part is slam some product or service in there and have a small group of people go out and convince another small group of people, who do it again, and again, and all of a sudden you have 10,000 excited reps with the company by Launch date!

People loved to be romanced, right? Network Marketing companies are masters at it. Lots of excitement can build in a 6 month time period, especially with the Internet involved and Hype!

People Join up, the excitement wears off, hype has won again, for somebody! And its usually not the reps!

All I can say to the reps from that company is learn from it and stay in the industry because your gem is out there. Just look at the next company you want to join and say this one simple thing to yourself before you join, which is…

Ask yourself, would I buy these products or services and be a customer of this company, even if there was not a business compensation plan wrapped around it?

All you need to do then is give yourself an honest answer.

Try it, it works :)

Wishing you all my best Thomas!

Great post Thomas and well written! Because of our online status I can’t tell you how many times we were presented with this ground breaking opportunity.

I don’t think it was the fault of the eFusjon reps as it always comes from the top down. Too many of these types of companies use the same approach and it’s all based on HYPE! Get the reps all hyped up and paint the picture riches beyond their wildest imaginations.

Needless to say that most of these businesses were designed for one reason, massive growth upfront with little to no residual income on the back end. But isn’t that what most of enter Networking Marketing for is the residual income? That is the part that puzzles me most. People join a business opportunity that is so easy to duplicate and then they wonder why it happened. It’s just common sense that if someone is selling Bologna Juice, then Super Bologna Juice II is just around the corner. 90% of these companies go under in the first five years, but people act surprised when it actually happens.

As you mention, Network Marketing is a great industry. People just need a good understanding while developing their craft and hopefully they don’t get caught up in the HYPE of these start-ups in the future!

We learned and everyone else can also if they just stick with it.

Thanks for sharing…

Thanks Dave and Dawn for your comment and the interest you showed in my blog post.
I do have to say that I might add the word “Hype” to my already existing List of words
I don;t like to use. :-)

Sadly to say the reps are the ones who pay the price when top people build a company
basically on hype alone, just to have it crumble in less than a few years. I wonder if they
count on that. Build a huge team bring in money fast and then let go.

Maybe that is why some of those companies lack in the residual part.

But what gets me is that because of companies like that it gives our industry a bad rep,
I guess that is part of it as well. Where you find good you will find bad as well.

Let’s hope people take notes and really start to get an idea what our industry is all about.
Get a better understanding/training and like you said “Build their craft”

I know I will, as I am building my craft every single day.

Thanks again, Dave and Dawn for your great comment.

This is a shame, I also feel bad for all of the reps who lost everything.

This is one reason why I will not join any company which has not been in business for at least 7 years. well over 90% of all start ups fail in their first 7 years in business.

I also believe you need to have a recession proof product in these hard times to be assured of a long term success. If your product is required it is easy for someone to stop buying it. If you deal in required services and products you can recession proof income and long term success.

Hey Thomas,

Nice blog you have. I remember the Efusjon hype going around all over Facebook last year. Now the company is no more and Efusjon reps are having to find a new home.

Hey Ted, that is right, the hype about eFusjon was ridicules. So many people got sucked into that, just to learn 18 month later that whatever they did to grow their biz didn’t matter. You are so right, they do need to find a new home, at least those who still believe that our industry works.

Thanks for your comment
